All I want for Christmas is some tactical gear for my upcoming deployment to Iraq.

   
• A three point sling for a M16A2/A4 is at the top of the list.   
  Got one.   
• Some of my own M16 cleaning gear, just for shits and giggles   
  Fuck that shit.   
• A good, small flashlight   
• A small, rugged, but decent quality digital camera, preferably in SD or MemoryStick format   
  Getting one of those Sony’s that’s really thin.   
• A PCMCIA SD reader for my laptop if I get the SD one, though I can always use my PDA to transfer stuff from a SD card, though, now that I think about it, any digital camera I get will probably come with a USB cord, but still, if the camera breaks, and I can recover the media, I’ll still be able to transfer the pictures because who knows, there could be some valuable intel there.   
  It’s Sony, so it’s going to be MemoryStick   
• Some connectors/spacers to connect two M16 mags for quick reloads.   
  I’ll just buy some in theatre, or I’ll use tape and a wad of paper.   
• Knee and elbow pads.   
• Beef jerky. I’ll probably be able to buy this shit at the PX, but yeah, I just really like beef jerky.   
• Spitz brand sunflower seeds.   
• Phillipine brand dried mangoes. (Man, I really like the dried foods, eh?)

I’m going to get most of this stuff myself. I really just need somewhere to keep a checklist that I’ll remember to check.
