This book’s hard to read, being written by a civilian and all. It’d
tedious having to read through descriptions of things you’re already
familiar with, especially when they’re inaccurate. Still, it’s a
description of a portion of the beginning of the war I’m going to be
participating in.

I’ve been finding it difficult to properly articulate myself lately, so
my posts have been brief. I’m excited about my upcoming deployment. I
fucking hate field days. I’ve got 24-hour watch tomorrow. Things are
getting easier, but I’m falling back into my old habits. I’m looking
forward to being bored in Iraq. I want a Combat Action Ribbon. I
haven’t PTed at all in at least a month.
