Every time I get settled and happy and productive, something comes up
to make things change. When Adam first talked me into pushing my desk
up against the wall, I was pretty happy. I had tons of floor space, and
I could keep my room clean. Things were most excellent.
Then I had to paint my room.
Then I had to rip out the moulding.
Then I the new moulding had to be put in.
Then I had to trade dressers with my brother.
Then I had to get my new desk.
Then I had to stuff my dresser in my closet and move my bookshelf for the umpteenth time.
Then I had to put my futon in.
Now I’m going to have to clear space for the TV I’m getting.
I mean, damn, it’s cool that I’m getting all of this stuff, but I’d
really just like to be settled in for a while. The way I had things set
up before painting was perfect. The chi really flowed through the room.
I was happy, productive and active. Things were great. Now I have to
figure out how I can comfortably cram all of this shit in here.
Change bad.
